On one level, this book is about real people with real experiences, their complexities, humor, decisions, losses, successes. The stories and people are real, with some of the names changed. On another level, the book is about the darkening world at large, which is sorely in need of humor. That’s why the world values comedians so much. The book looks at life in a realistic manner, just like my art, with its cracks and wrinkles. The book presents reality, disaster, darkness, doom, and yes, death. But it also presents the gathering of light and life. In our personal walk there are many opportunities for hope, compassion and positive change.
